This weeks giveaway is from a Paper Runway stockist Presse-Papiers. Launched in late 2010, Presse-Papiers is an online paper boutique run by two sisters and young mums, Charlotte & Olivia. They sell lots of paper and stationery goodies, ranging from cards, gift wrap, wall prints, notebooks, gorgeous tapes and much more, including Paper Runway! Presse-Papiers also currently showcase their products at a couple different markets in Auckland, and hope to one day open their own bricks and mortar store.
Presse-Papiers are giving a lucky Paper Runway subscriber a 12X16” LIttle Ones bird cage Art print from Printspace (value $45NZD) and one pack of Daisy Lane Swap cards from Lark (value $8.50NZD) – yummy!
How did you start Presse Papiers, what do you love most about what you do: As self-confessed paper and stationery lovers, it has been a dream of ours for a long time to open a shop like presse-papiers! Spoilt by the range of boutique stationery available in Sydney where Olivia currently lives, we both felt there was a gap here in New Zealand for unique items to indulge ourselves in and so we envisioned a shop that would be filled with beautiful yet affordable paper and gift supplies. During our family summer holiday last year, we decided to act upon this dream and so started the process of developing our website and contacting all our favourite paper and stationery designers. We love that presse-papiers allows us to spend hours researching pretty paper products, reading lovely blogs, chatting to each other on the phone, and also gives us the flexibility (mostly!) to work around our young families.
What is your favourite paper product right now It is a difficult choice but right now we are loving Little Branch cards, the new card and tag designs from Elly Oak, and a colourful range of new paper garlands soon to arrive in store!
What place in the world most inspires you and why? For us, there is nothing that compares to coming home to the ‘land of the long white cloud’ after being away. As soon as we hit the tarmac, we are inspired by the beautiful green landscapes, the fierce community spirit of being a small country, and of course, all our memories of growing up here. Plus, it’s great to only be 3 hours away from Australia!
If you could do a different job for a day what would it be and why? As we currently juggle the demands of presse-papiers, other jobs and young children, we would happily exchange this for one day of sitting in our own paper store, sipping tea together and wrapping pretty gifts.
What is your favourite homemade gift to give? We both love baking cookies and giving them to friends in jars tied with brown string and a colourful gift tag!
