Pretty Paper Things | 2012 Diary Round-up (part one)

Yes, it’s barely October but I already have my sights fixed firmly on January the 1st, 2012. Why? Because I can use my brand-spanking-new diary, that’s why! There are very few things in life as awesome as 365 days’ worth of blank pages ready for the filling. If you’re a diary fiend like me, you’ve already got your eye on a sweet little number. But if you need some help, I’ve put together a list of my favourites (I’ll be adding to this list as we get closer to the New Year).

O-Check Undated Daily Diary

Everything that O-Check does is awesome. This chunky 400-page diary – part of the recently released Woodlands themed collection – features a grey cloth hardcover that is silk-screen printed with a very majestic-looking deer. The great thing about undated diaries like this one is that, if you’re impatient like me, you can start using it now.

Moleskine

Ahh Moleskines … You really can’t go past them. All of their diaries are solid and well designed, and have a cute little hiding place in the back cover to store notes and ephemera. Soft cover, hard cover, week to a page or a page per day – you’re going to love your Moleskine.

Frankie Diary 2012

If you’re a fan of the magazine, you’ll be a fan of the Frankie diary. With illustrations by Melbourne-based artist Amy Borrell, this year’s offering is jam packed with handy features, like a 12-month calendar, week to a double page, birthday reminders and plenty of room to scribble away.

Watch Diary

Looking for something a little different? Korean company Connect Design has created a diary that has an analogue clock face embedded into the centre of each page. I really love how they’ve used the clock face to divide the page up into hourly chunks. Instead of writing your tasks in an old-school list, you can write them around the clock, in the timeslot that you need to do them or have them completed by. Super-cool idea.

Do you have any suggestions for diaries that can be included in part two of the round-up? Leave a comment below.
